Billboard Advertising

Located on major highways and within city environments, billboards offer great visibility for advertising messages.

Billboard advertising is designed to catch a person's attention and create a memorable impression very quickly. Because they have to be readable in a very short time or while passed at high speeds, they must have only a few words, use extremely large print, and contain an arresting image and message.

Billboard Advertising Cost Efficiencies

There are a number of reasons to choose billboard advertising, including cost efficiency, overall impact, and repeat exposure over time. Compared to other forms of advertising, billboards are a relatively inexpensive way to get your message seen by many people. A newspaper ad by comparison, is only good for a day and a television commercial only appears for a few seconds, but a billboard ad is working for you 24 hours a day, while the number of people who can see it is potentially unlimited.

The cost of billboard advertising ranges from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars per month, depending on size and location. By way of comparison, you could run an outdoor advertising campaign with multiple billboard locations for a month at less cost than running a full-page ad in a major newspaper for one day.

Billboard Advertising Advances

Advances in technology have also contributed to billboard advertising’s cost efficiency. Billboards are designed on a computer, printed on vinyl or poster paper, and glued to the billboard structure so that you get a high quality ad for less money. New electronic LED billboards have transformed static billboards into high-tech electronic outdoor displays with bright colors, full animation and the ability to even show television commercials outdoors. Electronic billboards are also instantly changeable, so one sign can show multiple messages.
